A leading global property and construction consultancy is seeking a proactive Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic cost management team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on major developments across the UK and internationally, including data centres, commercial builds, sports facilities, and large-scale residential projects.
The Quantity Surveyor Role
The successful Quantity Surveyor will join a well-established consultancy that delivers expert cost, procurement and commercial advice to a broad range of high-profile clients.
As a key Quantity Surveyor in the team, you will be responsible for the cost and commercial performance of multiple projects ranging from 5m to 500m. This Quantity Surveying role will suit someone looking to manage their own workload, act as a key client contact, and collaborate closely with wider project teams to ensure successful delivery from inception through to completion.
Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities:
- Manage and deliver pre & post contract Quantity Surveying services
- Prepare cost plans, budgets, procurement strategies and tender documentation
- Run competitive tender processes and manage contractor appointments
- Administer contracts, manage change control and report on project costs
- Provide clear, concise cost advice to clients, including value engineering
- Promote commercial awareness throughout project lifecycles
- Attend client and progress meetings and contribute to project strategies
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Project Management, or related field
- Ideally MRICS or working towards chartership
- Demonstrable experience as a QS in a consultancy environment
- Strong background in cost planning, procurement, and post-contract services
- Experience working on complex projects within data centres, commercial, residential or sports sectors
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Strong organisation and commercial acumen
In Return:
- 45,000 - 55,000 Per Annum
