An independent and well-regarded property and construction consultancy is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their established team in central London. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and capable Quantity Surveyor to become a key part of a collaborative cost consultancy practice with a strong reputation across the UK.

The successful Quantity Surveyor will support the delivery of a broad range of projects spanning residential, commercial, mixed-use, heritage, and education sectors. Working closely with clients and senior stakeholders, the Quantity Surveyor will contribute to both pre- and post-contract cost management, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standard, on time and within budget.

This role is ideally suited to a Quantity Surveyor with experience in consultancy environments who is looking to step into a position with real influence and long-term progression.

Quantity Surveyor - Role & Responsibilities

  • Supporting and delivering full cost consultancy services from feasibility through to final account
  • Preparing cost plans, tender documentation and procurement strategies
  • Managing contractor appointments and tender processes
  • Assisting with risk management, change control and contract administration
  • Producing regular cost reports and advising on value engineering
  • Supporting senior colleagues and providing guidance to junior staff where required

Quantity Surveyor - Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a construction-related discipline
  • Ideally MRICS qualified or working towards chartership
  • Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within a UK consultancy environment
  • Strong understanding of cost planning, procurement and contract management
  • Experience working across sectors such as residential, education, commercial or heritage
  • Professional, proactive and confident when liaising with clients and stakeholders
