Quantity Surveyor – Tier One Contractor
Location: Walthamstow (projects across London)
Salary: Up to £75,000 comprehensive package

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to join a leading tier one contractor with a strong pipeline of social housing refurbishment projects? This is a standout opportunity to play a key commercial role on planned works programmes delivered on behalf of a major nationwide housing association.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of multiple planned works schemes across London. You’ll work closely with operational teams to ensure projects are delivered profitably, compliantly, and to the highest standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the commercial delivery of planned maintenance and refurbishment projects

  • Cost control, forecasting, and budget management across multiple workstreams

  • Subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and management

  • Preparing valuations, variations, and final accounts

  • Ensuring compliance with contract terms, commercial processes, and client expectations

  • Supporting commercial strategy and contributing to long-term relationships with key clients

What You’ll Bring
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within social housing, planned works, or refurbishment

  • Strong knowledge of relevant contract forms (e.g., JCT, schedule of rates)

  • Excellent commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines across London
