Intermediate Quantity Surveyor - West London (6 months)
Salter Grange are currently recruiting for a site based Quantity Surveyor to join an established main contractor to support the team in preparing and managing variations on a live project. This is a fantastic short-term opportunity for a proactive professional who thrives in a site environment and enjoys working closely with subcontractors and project teams.
Role responsibilities:
- Be based full time on site (with occasional visits to head office)
- Identify works from the discovery schedule
- Physically measure on site and prepare quantities, scoping documents, and assess programme impacts
- Collate subcontractor costs
- Instruct subcontractors to proceed with approved works
- Maintain accurate records of works undertaken for each variation including timesheets, materials, operatives
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Assistant QS, Junior QS or Project QS in a site based role
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage variation records
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with subcontractors and project stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and deliver under tight deadlines
