About the role of Quantity Surveyor:
Exciting opportunity for a project quantity surveyor who specialises in both main and sub-contracting works to join one of the biggest and most reputable subbies in London to oversee multiple projects with values of up to 2 million. The business specialises in flooring, underfloor heating, screeds, carpets, timber and tiling but doesn't necessarily need someone experienced in all these areas. The fit out arm of the business, who turnover around 10 million a year and work on fast paced, D&B fit-out projects, need a new project QS to join their commercial team in Canary Wharf.
Responsibilities for Quantity Surveyor:
- Managing Packages.
- Site Meetings.
- Not very contract heavy as role is more focused on cost management and control.
- Weekly reports into both the commercial and managing directors.
Requirements for Quantity Surveyor:
- Main or sub-contractor background.
- Experience with D&B commercial fit outs.
- All necessary construction-based qualifications.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
