Equation Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of an employer seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage all commercial aspects across a variety of fit-out and construction projects. You'll work closely with project and operations teams to maximise profitability and ensure contracts run smoothly from start to finish.
Location: London (site-based, with some travel)Job Type: Full-time, permanentSalary: £50,000-£70,000 + car allowance + benefits
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing tender and contract documentation, including bills of quantities
- Procuring and managing subcontractors and materials
- Monitoring project progress and financial performance
- Managing variations and resolving contractual issues
- Producing cost reports, valuations, and final accounts
- Collaborating with clients, consultants, and site teams
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction or interior fit-out
- Strong understanding of JCT contracts
- Excellent MS Excel and Office skills
- A commercial mindset with sharp negotiation and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable but not essential:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying
- Experience in bid writing and e-tendering
