Quantity Surveyor - Central London - Refurbishment

A growing refurbishment main contractor are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. The role will be office based with some flexibility to work from home once probation passed, in Central London overseeing refurbishment projects up to 2m.

Role:Quantity Surveyor

Location:Central London

Duties:Overseeing multiple small refurbishment projects in London up to 2m

Reporting to:Commercial Director

Salary:Circa 75k as a guide

Experience:Ideally experience within the high end residential/ commercial sector, listed building, general refurbishment

Duties:

Be commercially alert and able to analyse the financial elements of the project

Have a good understanding of JCT Minor & Intermediate Contracts, as well as some knowledge of D&B Contracts

Undertake cost estimating, tendering, planning, procurement, interim valuations, and cost monitoring

Subcontractor management, prepare Sub-contracts and agree valuations and final accounts

Prepare schedules of repairs, obtain approval from the CA and let to the subcontractor

Variation pricing & management

Manage labour budgets with Contracts Manager & site managers

Provide monthly cost value reporting and cash flow forecasting

Liaise with Clients, Directors, Contracts Managers, and Site Foreman

Form and develop sustainable long-term relationships with new and existing Clients
