Established in early 2000's, this impressive, growing business was set up with a single objective in mind: to help businesses create the office spaces they need. They offer a comprehensive range of services for businesses looking to make a change to their workplace.
 
Covering everything from full office design and refurbishments to office fit outs and updates. They are also capable of supporting with small works, as well as providing construction management support. When carrying out work on an existing workplace, they focus on delivering service with minimal disruption to clients' business operations.

The Opportunity: Quantity Surveyor 
 
The role includes involvement and responsibility to... 

  • Report commercial project status to the Directors via a CVR each month.
  • Ensure valuations/ payments are issued on time.
  • Ensure the commercial workbook is fully populated.
  • Lead the pre-construction process on the commercial side ensuring all the packages are market tested and analysis is completed for the management team and directors to make informed decisions.
  • Review the sub-contractor's tender clarifications and produce a comprehensive list of clarifications for tender submissions.
  • Provide supply chain programme dates and durations to the planner and project manager at the tender stage.
  • Reviewing the project programme with the management team to ensure procurement is on track.
  • Holding pre-order meetings and place orders with the supply chains.
  • Providing the supply chain with feedback where they were unsuccessful.
  • Manage upstream certification for payments within the contract timeframe parameters and ensure these are issued to accounts to raise invoices.
  • Manage supply chain payments or pay-less notices in line with the schedule in their orders.
  • Ensure early warning is given to accounts on any deposits required for projects at tender stage.
  • Track project changes as they occur and ensure that a running final account is kept for internal and upstream purposes.
  • Agree final accounts with both the supply chain and the client in a timely manner.
  • Actively participate in the monthly companywide commercial meetings.
  • Provide support and guidance to assistant quantity surveyors.
  • Fill out timesheet on projects worked on weekly.
  • Ensuring commercial procedures are being followed.
  • Reviewing and negotiating contracts with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other relevant parties.
  • Assist in the development of commercial procedures within the business whilst also continuing own professional development.

  • 25 days annual holiday (compulsory 3/4 days to be taken over Christmas) plus bank holidays.
