Senior Quantity Surveyor - Permanent - London

Job title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Kings Cross (Office Based)

Salary: Up to £80,000 (depending on experience)

Role Description:

The Resolute Group is working in partnership with the Managing Director of an M&E Contractorto recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to look after a portfolio of projects across Greater London.

The successful person will have experience of delivering full turnkey solutions from inception to completion for projects in the Commercial sector. The client has developed a reputation for delivering schemes on time and within budget in a portfolio which sees projects ranging in value from £50,000 up to £3 million. As you will be split between office and site locations, it will be your responsibility to ensure standards and procedures are maintained accordingly.

The business has a team of 20+ staff and operate in. The client's portfolio is a mixture of both Tier 1 M&E Contractors and Subcontractors with whom they have long term relationships with due the value they place on our client's proactive approach, depth of expertise, integrity and the quality that is delivered. As a result, the team is very stable and enjoy working collaboratively at their office in Kings Cross.

Your duties will vary depending on the programme of works but could include:

  • To prepare and furnish up to date costs to the client and based on project re-measure.
  • Review clients Specifications and tender information in detail.
  • Work closely with the project planner to develop the Monthly progress applications
  • Ensure all contract variations are captured from engineering deviations and site requests.
  • Attend site visits and client briefings
  • Prepare in-house monthly commercial reports and ensure complete control over all commercial aspects of the project.
  • Monitoring earned values and calculations of spend v's earned values on a weekly basis.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Degree / Qualification within Quantity Surveying
  • Previous experience of working in the M&E / Commercial sector
