Role: Senior Quantity SurveyorLocation: Central LondonSalary: £60,000 to £90,000 + packageAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor delivering a complex cut and carve project in Central London. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be site based and acting as the number 2 on a £150m project which includes the conversion of a listed building into high specification office space for a blue chip client.The Senior Quantity Surveyors main responsibilities will include:

  • Taking responsibility for ensuring all financial and commercial matters are effectively controlled throughout each phase of the project
  • Oversee and mentor a commercial team that will include a Project QS, QS and Assistant QS
  • Manage and review subcontractor procurement, tendering and contract administration according to the project requirements
  • Ensure all change control procedures are implemented and variations are captured, costed and agreed
  • Lead on the preparation and submission of monthly valuations, applications for payment and final accounts
  • Monitor project cash flow, risk management and commercial performance
  • Work closely with the site project team, clients, stakeholders and external consultants
  • Ensure compliance with the contract

Requirements

  • Previous experience working for a main contractor on large refurbishment or new build projects in the UK
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong contract knowledge (JCT)
  • Confident when working with colleagues, clients and stakeholders
