A Senior Quantity Surveyor is required to support the commercial delivery of highway maintenance works, with an annual client budget of around 20 million. The role involves working on a variety of services, including reactive incident response, winter maintenance, planned and preventative works, all aimed at keeping the road network safe and operational.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage subcontractors, including procurement, payments, change control, and work-in-progress (WiP) tracking

  • Price works, negotiate rates with the client, and attend regular client meetings

  • Produce monthly cost reports, including CVRs, revenue claims, and debt/WiP management

  • Support commercial forecasting and budget tracking based on client spend

  • Provide guidance and oversight to junior commercial staff

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering

  • Strong experience in commercial roles, ideally with highways or infrastructure projects

  • Familiarity with Highways Method of Measurement and NEC contracts

  • Ability to manage subcontractor packages and analyse large volumes of data
