We're looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of the commercial and contractual performance of high-value construction projects. This is a senior-level role offering full P&L accountability and the opportunity to play a key part in a growing business.



The Role:

You'll lead the financial and contractual administration of projects, ensuring commercial performance, compliance, and successful delivery. Working closely with operational and estimating teams, you'll manage subcontract procurement, contract reporting, valuations, claims, and final accounts from start to finish.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Full commercial management across multiple live projects

  • Lead subcontract procurement and negotiation

  • Monthly CVRs, forecasts, and P&L reporting

  • Support dispute resolution, claims, and contractual compliance

  • Advise on legal/contractual risks and ensure documentation is in order

  • Ensure robust project controls and documentation systems

  • Work closely with Operations and Estimating on delivery strategy

  • Drive efficiency and maximise profitability across contracts



About You:

  • 7-10 years' experience in a commercial role (main contractor preferred)

  • BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar field

  • MRICS or MCIOB desirable

  • Strong understanding of contract law and construction contracts

  • Proven experience managing commercial teams

  • Skilled in cost reporting, re-measurement, and project forecasting

  • Excellent data and financial analysis skills

  • Confident communicator with both clients and internal teams

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

  • Full UK driving licence and valid CSCS card
