Manging Agency Contract Manager - 4 Days Work from Home - £47k Dove and Hawk have partnered with one of the largest housing associations in London, looking for a Block Manager to join their team! Based in East London, Salary starts at £47kDuties/Functions of the role:
- Work with superior landlords and/or their agents and similar third parties to foster excellent working relationships, to ensure the interests of us and its residents are protected and that superior landlords and their agents etc are delivering all services in accordance with the requirements of the lease, statute and all relevant regulatory requirements.
- Support the Service Charge Team Manager (Managing Agents) in checking the service charges levied by superior landlords and/or their managing agents to make sure their expenditure is in accordance with the lease and Landlord and Tenant Act rules. As needed challenge on reasonableness and VFM for the services provided. Where appropriate raising challenge and assisting with First Tier Tribunal cases.
- To support the Head of Managing Agent Relationships to deliver strategic and operational objective with superior landlords, superior landlords' managing agents, RMC and RTMs and/or their appointed agents as well as with any managing agents directly appointed delivering services to our mainstream housing stock.
- Working with others - internal.
- Support colleagues across the organisation so they understand the various relationships we have with superior landlords and/or their agents etc. and are able 15 to work with these parties to protect us and its residents. Where operational teams have concerns about the services being delivered particularly as they relate to an health and safety matters or any other responsibilities, to guide and/or intervene as needed to address these issues so the operational teams may resume ownership thereon.
- Support the Head of Managing Agent Relationships in the collection of all or a sample of compliance records from all or selected superior landlords as needed.
- Develop positive and collaborative relationships with managing agents and superior landlords and act as a point of contact to assist Managing Agents.
- Monitor, manage and report on finance and safety compliance on buildings and estates controlled by third parties and ensure any incidents of non-compliance are escalated in accordance with relevant protocols and legal options.
- Support the Head of Managing Agent Relationships in developing and maintaining our database which captures all relevant information and data for block/estate with superior landlords and their agents etc.
Requirements of the role:
- Minimum 3 years comparable experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation
- Be organized, able to prioritise, manage time efficiently and work to deadlines.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- TPI Is Recommended
- Enjoys working as part of a team.
- Full UK Driving Licence & use of own car
