Our Children’s Services Transformation & Operations team is looking for a dedicated Children’s Services Estates & Asset Management Officer to join us and help deliver safe, sustainable and inspiring environments for our children and young people.
About the Role:
As the lead internal commissioner for estates and asset management within Children’s Services, you’ll:
- Oversee and commission asset management, compliance and capital works projects.
- Act as the key link between schools, children’s services, and wider council delivery teams.
- Manage the Children’s Services Capital & Asset Management Board.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and statutory requirements across the children’s services estate.
- Report on capital programmes and allocations, ensuring effective use of resources to support sustainable education provision.
About You:
We’re looking for someone who brings:
- Strong experience in estates, facilities, or asset management.
- A customer-focused, solutions-driven approach.
- The ability to build and maintain positive relationships with schools, services, and council teams.
- Knowledge of compliance and health & safety requirements in a property management context.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage complex projects and competing priorities.

You’ll join our Transformation & Operations Service, part of Children’s and Adults’ Services. We bring together strategy, policy, business intelligence, programmes, and asset management to deliver positive change.
