Our client, a Good OFSTED rated secondary school, is seeking an enthusiastic Estates Officer to join its small team.

Reporting to the Estates Manager, your role is to ensure the safety and security of the staff, students, parents and visitors whilst on site.

The Estates Officer duties include:

  • To manage the building and grounds and undertake repairs and maintenance when required.
  • Conduct statutory testing as required and ensure Health & Safety legislation is adhered to and document all statutory checks.
  • Oversee and supervise lettings sessions, setting up of meeting rooms and any ad hoc duties required.

The Estates Officer will be educated to GCSE standard, with experience of working within a hands-on premises and maintenance function. Proven experience in repairs within a trade role is essential for this position.

The hours of work are on a rotation basis of 6am - 2pm, 8.00am - 4.00pm and 12.30pm - 8.30pm plus two weekends per month.

On a personal basis, you will have excellent customer service skills and can build good relationships quickly. You must be reliable and flexible, able to work within a team and on your own initiative.
