ROLE: Receptionist

SALARY: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum

LOCATION: Chelsea, London

HOURS: Mon - Thurs 8.00am-5.00pm/9.30am-6.30pm alternate shifts, Fri 8.00am-5.00pm

A private equity firm in Chelsea is looking for a polished and proactive Receptionist to join their London office. Working alongside the Office Manager, you'll help manage the reception calendar, coordinate meeting rooms, handle calls and emails, and support the senior receptionist to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, flexible, and confident in a fast-paced, high-performing environment.

Duties involved:

  • Organise the Reception calendar, allocate meeting rooms, effectively manage room conflicts
  • Ensure all meeting rooms are exceptionally tidy and ready to host meetings at all times
  • Meet and greet visitors to the office and show them to meeting rooms
  • Set up all video conference calls and arrange meeting materials, either printed or on screen
  • Operate the reception switchboard and manage inbound emails
  • Serve refreshments during meetings
  • Order and prepare lunches for meetings
  • Maintain the cleanliness, organisation and stock of a very busy kitchen and bathrooms
  • Support the Office Manager with weekly stock controls (e.g., stationery, kitchen supplies)
  • Support the Office Manager with the firm's monthly invoicing and expenses process
  • Assist other teams with ad­hoc requests such as printing, binding, filing and booking couriers

Experience Required:

  • Proactive, hands-on attitude with a strong team spirit
  • Confident in managing a busy meeting room schedule in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional and composed under pressure, with sound decision-making skills
  • Excellent time management, multitasking, and organisational abilities
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Friendly, people-focused, and confident, engaging with visitors
  • Discreet and reliable when handling confidential information
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and video conferencing platforms
