SWITCHBOARD OPERATOR

Switchboard Operator/Receptionist to be responsible to direct calls both internal and external to the correct departments, helping the guests with their general requirements both on the phone and in the Business Centre. This is a full time, 40 hours a week role.

The Switchboard Operator/Receptionist key Responsibilities will include:

  • To greet and welcome all guests in line with Hotel standards.
  • To answer calls effectively and helpful manner, ensuring that all calls are directed to the correct guestrooms / department.
  • Ensure that all messages are recorded accuratelyand deliver to the guestsand department.
  • Co-ordinating information with reception to ensure that airline and group wake-up calls are received on time and enter into the system accurately.
  • Ensure guest wake-up calls are enter into system accurately.
  • Ensure the guests receive their wake-up call on time.
  • To act as a point of contact for all guests, providing assistance and offering them efficient customer service, identifying their needs as well as product knowledge.

  • To assist in arranging room moves, selecting appropriate rooms.

  • To attend to all guest queries including complaints in a prompt, professional manner

  • Ensure knowledge of high level hotel facilities and services
  • Familiar with hotel emergency, fire and security procedures and executing in the required event.

The Experience & Qualifications:

  • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner
  • Capacity to proactively manage the operation
  • Knowledge of OPERA Cloud, and large hotel operation
  • Work in customer service industry
