About Us:
Remedy is working with a secondary school in Chingford E4 to recruit a committed Therapeutic Interventions Officer. This is a full-time, term-time only role, ideal for someone with experience supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH).

Job Overview:
As a Therapeutic Interventions Officer, you will design, deliver, and evaluate targeted support programmes for students with SEMH needs. You will work with individuals and small groups, providing restorative interventions, mentoring, and strategies to help pupils reintegrate into mainstream learning or alternative provision. The Therapeutic Interventions Officer will collaborate with pastoral teams, parents, and external agencies to ensure the wellbeing and progress of all students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored SEMH programmes as a Therapeutic Interventions Officer.

  • Support pupils with barriers to learning, including behaviour, attendance, and transition.

  • Mentor students one-to-one and in small groups to develop resilience and positive strategies.

  • Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to improve outcomes.

  • Track and report on student progress, ensuring interventions have measurable impact.

  • Assist with restorative practice and contribute to a positive school culture.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a school setting, supporting students with SEMH needs.

  • Strong knowledge of behaviour management strategies and therapeutic interventions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above (or equivalent).
