Our serene space features six treatment rooms, a Hammam, sauna, steam room, an 18-metre swimming pool, Watsu pool, a state-of-the-art gym, and a dedicated studio for yoga and Pilates. The Role
As our Spa Manager, you will lead, inspire, and develop a team of highly skilled Spa and Wellbeing specialists who deliver exceptional service and luxurious treatments to our guests. You will ensure that every detail of the guest journey from seamless arrival to tranquil departure reflects Akashas commitment to holistic wellness and the hallmarks of Hotel Café Royals 5-star service.

Working closely with the Spa Director and wider Akasha management team, you will take a hands-on and flexible approach to operations, coaching and guiding your team to deliver excellence at all times. You will also oversee the day-to-day running of the Spa, ensuring ambience, presentation, and service standards are consistently of the highest quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and inspire a knowledgeable and professional team of Spa Therapists, Receptionists, and Wellbeing Specialists.
  • Ensure the delivery of exceptional guest experiences, from personalised consultations to the delivery of treatments and aftercare.
  • Manage daily spa operations, including reception, bookings, membership sales, product knowledge, and treatment training.
  • Maintain the spas presentation and ambience, ensuring spaces reflect a calm, luxurious, and welcoming environment.
  • Oversee staff recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Monitor budgets, payroll, and financial performance, working with the Spa Director to drive revenue and profitability.
  • Promote and market spa services and memberships, building guest loyalty and repeat business.
  • Serve as Duty Manager within Akasha, deputising for the Spa Director when required.

Your Profile

  • A true hospitality professional with a natural flair for luxury service and guest care.
  • Professionally trained with recognised UK trade certificates in Holistic Therapies, Massage and/or Beauty.
  • Proven experience in a senior operational role within a luxury 5-star spa, hotel, resort, destination spa, or cruise ship.
  • Exceptional grooming and presentation, with a confident yet calm presence.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to coach, develop, and inspire a large team.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with experience in managing spa operations, payroll, and budgets.
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to build strong guest and team relationships.
  • Flexible, hands-on, and adaptive approach, able to lead by example during busy operational periods.
