Salary: £50,000 + £4,000 Shift Allowance
Shift Pattern: Continental (7/7 – days and nights)
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Building Services Shift Supervisor to join a prestigious commercial site in Canary Wharf. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in one of London’s most iconic business districts, overseeing critical building services operations on a continental shift pattern.
As Shift Supervisor, you will lead a team of engineers to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all mechanical and electrical systems within a high-profile commercial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate shift engineers and contractors on-site.
- Ensure all planned and reactive maintenance tasks are completed to a high standard.
- Monitor and maintain building systems including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
- Respond to emergency situations and escalate issues as required.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and ensure compliance with health & safety regulations.
- Support the Engineering Manager with audits, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven experience in building services within a commercial environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with BMS systems and permit-to-work procedures.
