Description
- Provide a courteous and informed advice service to tenants and leaseholders.
- Respond to housing enquiries via phone, email, and in person.
- Advise on Housing Benefit and other welfare entitlements.
- Administer garage lettings and report repairs to the local authority.
- Assist with estate inspections and monitor contractor performance.
- Support tenancy sign-ups, changes, and investigations into non-occupancy.
- Promote tenant participation and community engagement.
- Contribute to policy development and performance reporting.
Profile
A successful Housing Services Assistant should have:
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and housing management systems.
- Experience working with the public in a customer-facing role.
- A good general education (5 GCSEs or equivalent).
- Willingness to learn and get involved in all aspects of the organisation's work.
