Technical Programme Manager, Programme Director, Portfolio Manager, Mainly RemoteProgramme Manager / Programme Director / Technical Portfolio Manager (TPM) required to work for a Professional Services business based in Central London. However, this is Global role that may require some Global travel (fully expensed) but most of the work can be done from the comfort of your own home. Please read in full before applying. First and foremost, this is a tough role with lots of challenges. You will be operating on a Global scale where sometimes the Global responsibilities will lead to some early morning calls (with India and Australia) and late calls with the US. If you manage your day and block out some time for yourself, you can make it work…but it definitely not a typical 9am-5pm day. Also, there is a lot of politics that come with the role where you will also need skin as thick as a rhinoceros! On a serious note, there are lots of moving parts, lots of plates to spin, the business will be coming at you left, right and centre, along with development teams (of up to 200 people), test / QA teams (circa 70 people) and product teams. In summary, it is a crazy and very political environment and you have to have managed something similar in the past. The TPM is responsible for the strategic oversight and successful delivery of a portfolio of technical initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and client expectations. This role will focus on supporting a significant service line, in the largest technology programme of work our client has ever been involved in. You will have Project and Programme Managers reporting into you as part of this huge Portfolio of work. You must have worked in this kind of set-up previously. We essentially need someone who has operated at Programme Management / Programme Director level (appreciating this role only starts at Manager level in line with how this business is structured), has dealt with C-Suite Stakeholders from business and technology and has delivered technical solutions on an enterprise level. There is a written side to it too, where you will be writing and designing high level, strategic technical documents for the business to digest, prior to the Portfolio / Programme / Project executions. There will be several meetings that you will be running with key stakeholders in both the business and technology, where you would have to be confident enough to hold your own, run the meetings and be prepared to be challenged…by sometimes difficult stakeholders on occasions! This role is to manage a Portfolio of Projects and Programmes within modern technology on a Global scale. As this has global coverage, we have to re-emphasise, there may be some early / late calls. You must be prepared for this. There will be give and take with times, along with some flexibility if things are becoming quite taxing. However, we want someone dedicated and definitely not someone who wants a hardened 9am - 5pm kind of position! Read on for more details…Experience required:

· Circa 8+ years’ of experience in technical project, portfolio, or delivery management, with a focus on business-facing roles and technical solution delivery.

· Demonstrated experience in demand management, budget development, and resource planning.

· Strong experience supporting pre-project efforts and leading the development of technical proposals, scoping, and statement of work (SoW) documents.

· Demonstrated experience in leading technology initiatives.

· Experience in working with multiple third-party vendors and partners to deliver complex products and engagements.

· Team building and pragmatic problem-solving skills with local, international, and multicultural staff.

· Ability to understand the holistic business needs of the organisation and apply this understanding to the management of the programme.

· Ability to multitask, balancing priorities among competing needs whilst ensuring the required detail and quality is achieved, providing the highest level of value to the company.

· Strong interpersonal, collaboration and business relationship skills

· Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

· Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, and able to adopt flexible working practices as require from time to time.

· Able to manage sensitive and confidential information.

· Able and willing to travel internationally when required.

· Able and willing to work US time zone for meetings when required.

This is a great opportunity and salary is dependent upon experience. Apply now for more details.
