The Role
The Assistant Bar Manager has a central role to play supporting the team in creating an intuitive, refined world class bar experience to each guest in Park Chinois. The main aim is to enhance the overall bar experience and provide a refined world class service to each guest in Park Chinois.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Assistant Bar Manager will be jointly responsible for directing the flow of service by assisting with the day-to-day bar operation, as well as assisting the critical duties such as stock control, budget management and leadership, training, and development of the bar team to ensure highest standards are maintained.
Skills and Experience requirement
- Have a confident and charming demeanour, with ability to build immediate rapport and create a memorable bar experience.
- Have the ability to adapt to different types of events from unique private dinners or late-night parties to corporate events and will have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Take the responsibility for guest and staff satisfaction, by managing the Bar operations.
- Provide a consistently high standard of service to guests. Seek opportunities to improve the guest experience by obtaining and monitoring feedback, evaluating service levels, and developing strategies to improve areas of concern.
- Have a strong food and beverage industry background, understanding of major competitors and excellent local area awareness to maintain the highest service standards.
- Be able to support, guide and develop the Bar Team in professional growth and performance.
- To develop and retain the team by providing leadership, training, and coaching and through developing a customer engaging culture that provides motivation and passion to deliver exceptional results.
- To provide training to the Bar team on beverage, including cocktails, wines, liquor to maximise product knowledge.
- Ensure the compliance with workplace regulations in the department.
- To control and manage costs and stocks within the department.
