Bar Manager Teahouse, Chelsea (SW3 6PP, London)
Teahouse is a hidden cocktail lounge in the heart of Chelsea, known for its refined atmosphere and high-profile clientele. Opened in January, we are a reservation-only venue with private hire capacity for up to 40 guests. We are now seeking an experienced Bar Manager to lead our team and take ownership of a new project with the ambition to create something lasting.
The successful candidate will have more than 5 years bar management experience, a strong background in mixology, and an exceptional knowledge of classic cocktails. This is a hands-on role requiring both operational expertise and creativity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily bar operations to deliver flawless service in a refined, discreet environment.
- Curate and develop seasonal cocktail menus, balancing innovation with respect for the classics.
- Recruit, train, and inspire a small team to consistently deliver high standards.
- Oversee stock management, supplier relationships, and ordering to ensure cost control without compromising quality.
- Manage reservations and private hire events (up to 40 guests), adapting menus and service style for bespoke client needs.
- Uphold licensing, health & safety, and hygiene standards across all bar operations.
- Build relationships with guests and private clients, ensuring a highly personalised level of hospitality.
- Maintain financial oversight of the bar, including budgets, GP, and waste management.
- Act as an ambassador for Teahouse, helping to position the lounge as one of Chelseas leading cocktail destinations.
What Were Looking For
- Minimum 5+ years bar management experience in premium cocktail or high-end hospitality settings.
- Expert knowledge of mixology, spirits, and classic cocktails.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage and motivate a small team.
- Operationally astute with financial awareness and attention to detail.
- Highly personable, discreet, and confident working with high-profile clientele.
- Creative and ambitious, with a vision to build and develop a new venue into a destination.
- Available to start immediately.
