KM104: Business Development Manager
Location: London, N7 (hybrid working options)
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 Per Annum
Overview:
First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our reputable client who is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their growing team in London.You will play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of our office operations, supporting business development initiatives, and over time, gaining hands-on experience in fire safety compliance - specifically assisting with fire door inspections and report preparation, as well as managing incoming emails, calls and scheduling of passive fire protection works.
Duties and Responsibilities
Office Administration:
- Coordinate daily administrative functions and office tasks
- Manage emails, phone calls, scheduling works, and document filing
- Assist in maintaining project and compliance documentation
- Liaise with suppliers and service providers
Business Development Support:
- Support the Director with client outreach and lead generation
- Help prepare proposals, quotes, and tender documents
- Maintain current client relationships
- Assist with marketing
Progression into Fire Door Inspections:
- Provide administrative support during fire door inspections
- Assist in compiling inspection reports using industry software
- Shadow qualified fire door inspectors with the view to developing hands-on skills
- Undergo relevant training and certification as required
Skills and Qualifications
Technical & Administrative:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Previous administrative or coordinator experience
- Experience with CRM software or willingness to learn
Personal Attributes:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive and able to manage multiple tasks independently
- Willingness to learn about passive fire protection
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
Additional Requirements:
- Interest in progressing within the fire protection industry
- Driving licence (advantageous but not essential)
