I am partnering with a global law firm to find a Billing Coordinator for their London office. This role reports to an experienced Finance Manager and presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal finance biller to join a fantastic team.Day duties of the role:

  • Promptly respond to billing-related emails and requests.
  • Prepare, manage, and review client invoices.
  • Process invoices using the Pre-bill viewer and make necessary edits.
  • Handle a high volume of bills, especially during Collection Drive periods.
  • Liaise with the e-billing team to reconcile client billing portals.
  • Review billing documentation and requirements.
  • Maintain organised invoice folders and internal documentation.
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting on billing statistics and streamline and schedule regular client billing reports.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.
  • Provide billing cover during annual leave and absences.
  • Support annual audits (Statutory, SRA, and Internal).
  • Undertake ad-hoc tasks and responsibilities as required.

The right candidate will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in legal billing in a law firm.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for all levels of interaction.
  • Flexible, hands-on attitude.
  • Team player with stakeholder relationship-building skills.
  • Proficient in legal billing software (e.g., Aderant) and Windows programs.
  • Detail-oriented, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Autonomous worker.
  • Excellent prioritisation and time management.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written), professional demeanour.
  • Self-motivated, works well with minimal supervision.
  • Organised with high attention to detail.
  • VAT knowledge.
  • Process improvement mindset.
  • Collection experience is a plus.
  • Quick learner of new software applications.
