A small nurturing school in Southwark, London, are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Art Teacher to join our team from September 2025. With class sizes of just 6-8 students and a maximum school capacity of 42, we offer a unique opportunity for teachers to make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging Art lessons across KS3 and KS4, including Entry Level and GCSE pathways
  • Plan and develop Schemes of Work and lesson plans in line with the school's curriculum policy
  • Work closely with exam boards to manage and upload assessment materials
  • Foster a creative, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with a Learning Support Assistant and, where applicable, 1:1 LSAs
  • Support the wellbeing, progress, and engagement of all students

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Experienced Art educator with a track record of planning and delivering Entry Level and GCSE content
  • Skilled in liaising with exam boards and managing assessment submissions
  • Strong understanding of how to adapt teaching for mixed-age and ability classes
  • Organised, proactive, and passionate about supporting creative learning
  • A strong team player who thrives in a supportive, close-knit school environment
