A passionate and skilled Art Teacher is required for a permanent part-time position at an Outstanding boys' school in Haringey, commencing in September. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (aged 11-16) to develop their artistic talents, explore different mediums, and express themselves creatively within a supportive and high-achieving environment in North London.

Responsibilities

  • You will plan and deliver engaging Art lessons that foster creativity, develop technical skills, and encourage students to explore their artistic potential.
  • The role involves guiding students through a range of artistic disciplines, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital media.
  • You will cultivate a stimulating and inclusive studio environment where every student feels empowered to experiment, take risks, and develop their unique artistic voice.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Art and Design is essential.
  • Experience teaching engaging and effective Art lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4 is highly desirable.
  • A strong understanding of artistic principles, techniques, and art history, coupled with the ability to inspire students, is expected.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, alongside strong classroom management and the ability to foster a love of art, are vital.
