Are you a recent science graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in a secondary school setting? A vibrant and well-equipped secondary school in Waltham Forest is looking for a motivated Graduate Science Technician to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to use your scientific knowledge in a practical, real-world environment-supporting experiments, preparing resources, and helping bring science lessons to life. It's an ideal first step if you're considering a future in teaching, laboratory work, or science education.
What you'll be doing:
- Preparing equipment and materials for biology, chemistry and physics lessons
- Supporting students and teachers during practical experiments
- Ensuring the science labs are safe, clean and fully stocked
- Helping manage chemicals and equipment in line with health and safety guidelines
- Gaining valuable experience in a fast-paced, educational environment
What we're looking for:
- A science-related degree (Biology, Chemistry, Physics or a related field)
- Enthusiasm for working with young people and supporting their learning
- A hands-on, organised approach and good attention to detail
- An understanding of lab safety (COSHH/CLEAPSS knowledge is a bonus, but training can be provided)
- A reliable, proactive attitude and a willingness to learn
