Permanent Teacher of History - An Outstanding London School (History Department)

An outstanding school in London is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Permanent Teacher of History to join our supportive History Department. You will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for KS5) to develop a deep understanding and appreciation for the past and its impact on the present, fostering critical thinking and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and thought-provoking History lessons that cater to a range of learning styles.
• Cultivate a curiosity about historical events, cultures, and perspectives in our students.
• Contribute to the development of a stimulating and relevant History curriculum.
• Assess student progress effectively, providing constructive feedback to encourage deeper understanding.
• Collaborate actively with colleagues within the History Department to share innovative teaching strategies and resources.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A strong degree in History or a closely related field.
• Demonstrable experience of successfully teaching History at secondary level.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
