Are you a captivating History Teacher ready to bring the past to life for bright young women? We're actively seeking a fantastic temporary, part-time teacher to join our Outstanding girls' school in Camden, starting this June. This is a brilliant opportunity to share your passion for historical inquiry and help shape young minds in a vibrant and supportive learning environment in central London.
What you'll be doing:
- You'll be designing and delivering engaging History lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4, covering diverse periods and developing students' analytical and evaluative skills.
- It's all about expertly guiding students through significant events, figures, and historical debates, fostering a deep understanding of cause and consequence.
- You'll cultivate a dynamic and interactive classroom where students feel empowered to explore primary sources, debate interpretations, and think critically about the past.
What we're looking for:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a solid specialism in History.
- Ideally, you'll have some experience teaching engaging and effective History lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4 for girls.
- A deep and current understanding of historical concepts and pedagogical approaches to inspire a love of the subject.
- Excellent communication skills, strong classroom management, and a real ability to make history relevant and exciting.
