History Teacher

Position: History Teacher 

Location: Islington 

Start Date: January 2026 

Contract: Full Time 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable History Teacher to join a welcoming and high-achieving secondary setting for a short-term contract from January to April 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed practitioner who is passionate about inspiring young people and delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The Role

• Teach History across KS3 and KS4

• Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that support excellent progress

• Contribute to planning, assessment, and curriculum enrichment

• Maintain high expectations around behaviour, engagement, and achievement

• Work collaboratively with a supportive Humanities team

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified teacher status (QTS or equivalent)

• Strong subject knowledge and experience teaching KS3–KS4

• Creative, reflective, and committed to high-quality teaching

• Able to build strong rapport with pupils and colleagues

• Well-organised, proactive, and adaptable to new environments
