Smart Teachers is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a thriving East London secondary school for a January to April placement. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to deliver high-quality teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4 within a well-supported and collaborative department.
Role Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons to KS3–KS4 pupils

Plan, mark, and assess in line with department expectations

Contribute to the wider Maths department and participate in curriculum development

Maintain strong classroom management and foster a positive learning environment

Attend relevant meetings, parents’ evenings, and professional development sessions
Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Strong subject knowledge and ability to teach Maths up to GCSE
-
Previous secondary school teaching experience in the UK

Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities
-
A valid enhanced DBS or willingness to undergo one
