**Job Title: Religious Education (RE) Teacher**

**Position Overview:**
As an RE Teacher at our school in Islington,you will have the opportunity to engage with students in thought-provoking discussions, encouraging them to critically examine religious beliefs, values, and practices. You will play a vital role in developing students' understanding of different faith traditions, moral dilemmas, and philosophical questions, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to navigate an increasingly diverse and interconnected world.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that stimulate students' curiosity and promote deep learning in Religious Education.
- Create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable expressing their views and exploring diverse perspectives.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to cater to students with varying learning styles and abilities.
- Foster students' analytical thinking skills through the exploration of religious texts, ethical theories, and contemporary issues.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their academic development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design cross-curricular projects and extracurricular activities that promote tolerance, understanding, and social cohesion.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events to contribute to the wider school community.

**Requirements:**
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Specialism or strong background in Religious Education, with a degree in Theology, Religious Studies, Philosophy, or a related field.
- Up-to-date knowledge of religious beliefs, practices, and ethical debates across different cultures and traditions.
- Experience teaching Religious Education at Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and preferably Key Stage 5 levels.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
