Science Teacher – Permanent Role – Brent – September Start

A highly regarded and inclusive secondary school in Brent is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Science Teacher to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis from September. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a vibrant Science department and support students in achieving academic success.

About the Role:

You will teach General Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach your specialist subject—Biology, Chemistry, or Physics—at Key Stage 5. This role is ideal for a committed educator who wants to foster scientific curiosity and help students develop a deep understanding of the world around them.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, differentiated Science lessons aligned with national curriculum standards
  • Plan and assess effectively to support pupil progress and attainment
  • Use practical work and investigations to enhance learning experiences
  • Monitor student progress, offering feedback and support as needed
  • Work collaboratively within the Science department and wider school community
  • Contribute to departmental enrichment activities and curriculum development
  • Promote high standards of behaviour, effort, and achievement

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have a relevant degree in a Science subject (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics)
  • Possess strong classroom management and lesson planning skills
  • Be experienced in teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience is an advantage)
  • Demonstrate a commitment to inclusive, high-quality education
  • Be reflective, proactive, and a strong team player
