An enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher is required for a temporary full-time position at an Outstanding mixed school in Islington, commencing as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (aged 11-16) with the wonders of biology, chemistry, and physics, within a supportive and high-achieving environment in central London.
Responsibilities
- You'll plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across all three disciplines, fostering curiosity and a deep understanding of scientific principles.
- The role involves expertly guiding students through practical experiments and theoretical concepts, following a stimulating and well-structured curriculum.
- You'll cultivate a vibrant and inquiry-based learning environment, encouraging scientific investigation and critical thinking.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Science is essential.
- Experience teaching engaging and effective Science lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4 is highly desirable.
- A strong understanding of the National Curriculum for Science, coupled with the ability to make the subject accessible and relevant, is expected.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, alongside strong classroom management and the ability to manage practical experiments, are vital.
