GSL Education are helping a welcoming school in Tower Hamlets find a Science Teacher to join them from September 2025. This is a permanent position, offering a salary between £38,766 and £60,092 per year, depending on your experience and qualifications.
About the Role
You will teach Science to students and help them enjoy the subject while reaching their full potential. The school has good facilities and a helpful team. You’ll be supported by friendly staff and leaders who care about both teachers and students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Science to students in line with the national curriculum.
- Plan lessons that are interesting and easy to follow.
- Check students' progress and give them feedback.
- Create a safe and respectful classroom where students can do their best.
- Work with other teachers and staff to support students.
- Join meetings and training to improve your teaching.
Job Requirements:
- Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Specialism in Science, with sound subject knowledge across Biology, Physics, and Chemistry.
- Experience teaching Science in UK schools.
- Good classroom management and clear communication skills.
- A caring and positive attitude towards students.
- Able to plan and deliver engaging lessons.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
