Are you passionate about science and eager to support the next generation of scientists? We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Science Technician to join our dynamic science department at a thriving secondary school in the heart of Tower Hamlets.
About the Role:As our Science Technician, you'll play a vital role in supporting the delivery of engaging and safe practical science lessons. Working closely with teaching staff, you'll help prepare experiments, manage equipment and resources, and ensure a well-organised and inspiring learning environment for our students.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and set up equipment and materials for science lessons (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics)

Ensure all health & safety procedures are followed during practicals

Maintain and organise the science labs, equipment, and stock

Support students and staff during practical sessions

Assist with demonstrations and experiments where required
What We're Looking For:

A background in science (e.g. A Level in science subjects, science-related degree, or relevant experience)

Strong organisational and communication skills

A keen eye for detail and commitment to health & safety

Previous experience in a school or laboratory setting is desirable, but not essential - training will be provided
