Are you passionate about science and eager to support the next generation of scientists? We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Science Technician to join our dynamic science department at a thriving secondary school in the heart of Tower Hamlets.

About the Role:As our Science Technician, you'll play a vital role in supporting the delivery of engaging and safe practical science lessons. Working closely with teaching staff, you'll help prepare experiments, manage equipment and resources, and ensure a well-organised and inspiring learning environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and set up equipment and materials for science lessons (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics)

  • Ensure all health & safety procedures are followed during practicals

  • Maintain and organise the science labs, equipment, and stock

  • Support students and staff during practical sessions

  • Assist with demonstrations and experiments where required

What We're Looking For:

  • A background in science (e.g. A Level in science subjects, science-related degree, or relevant experience)

  • Strong organisational and communication skills

  • A keen eye for detail and commitment to health & safety

  • Previous experience in a school or laboratory setting is desirable, but not essential - training will be provided
