The Role – Second in Charge of Mathematics, Mathematics 2iC
· Assist in the leadership and management of the Maths department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
· Support the Head of Mathematics in driving forward curriculum development and assessment strategies.
· Mentor and support colleagues, sharing best practices and delivering CPD sessions.
· Teach engaging and challenging Maths lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5, fostering a love for the subject.
· Use data-driven approaches to monitor student progress and implement interventions where necessary, ensuring an inclusive education for all students.
· Contribute to whole-school improvement strategies, working collaboratively with the wider leadership team.
· Promote and support extracurricular Maths activities such as clubs, competitions, and enrichment programs.
Ideal Candidate - Second in Charge of Mathematics - Mathematics 2iC
· A highly skilled Maths teacher (UK QTS essential) with a strong track record of excellent teaching practice.
· Experience of leadership, mentoring, or curriculum development within a Maths department.
· Passionate about delivering high-quality education and inspiring students to achieve their full potential.
· A deep understanding of evidence-based teaching strategies and a commitment to continuous improvement.
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop colleagues.
