SANZA Teaching Agency is working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Redbridge to recruit an experienced and committed SENDCO to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead SEND provision at a busy, inclusive secondary school with a student population of 1,200 pupils, including 56 students with EHCPs. The school has been rated 'Good' by OFSTED and is known for its strong pastoral care, inclusive ethos, and commitment to every student's success.

The Role

As SENDCO, you will:

Oversee the strategic development of SEND provision across the school.

Manage and review the progress of students with EHCPs and other SEND needs.

Lead, support, and develop a skilled team including experienced HLTAs and a Trainee SENDCO.

Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, external agencies, and the senior leadership team to drive forward inclusive practice.

Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements and maintain high standards of SEND provision.

What We're Looking For

A qualified teacher with QTS.

The National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) is essential.

Substantial experience working in a secondary setting with students with EHCPs and additional needs.

Strong leadership and organisational skills.

A thorough understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and current educational legislation.

A proactive, collaborative approach to driving improvement in SEND outcomes.
