Veritas Education are looking for experienced Exam Invigilators to work in a secondary school in Hackney during the upcoming GCSE exam period. This role will involve invigilating within the Access Arrangements rooms, supporting students who need extra time and have other arrangements. The school need their invigialtors to have previous Invigilation experience, plus experience in some capacity with access arrangements.

This Invigilator schedule runs from the 12th of May through to the 17th of June - working on average 3-4 times a week. The majority of the exams are in the morning (8am start) with a few in the afternoon and a couple all day. Please only apply if this schedule is doable for you and you are available throughout this period.

Having an Enhanced Child (or Child and Adult) DBS on the OUS will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage the conduct of exams in accordance with established guidelines.

  • Ensure the examination environment is secure, controlled, and free from disruption.

  • Verify student identification and ensure that all exam materials are accounted for.

  • Report any irregularities or breaches of exam protocol.

  • Assist with the setup and pack-up of exam venues.

  • Provide support to students while maintaining exam integrity and fairness.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an exam invigilator or in a similar role.

  • Strong attention to detail and high level of professionalism.

  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Punctual, reliable, and able to adhere to strict schedules.

  • Understanding of exam procedures and regulations
