Salary: 115 per day which may increase after 12 weeks

Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking to make a meaningful impact in a supportive primary school environment? We are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join an outstanding primary school in the vibrant community of Southwark.

About the School: Our client is a highly regarded primary school with an impressive Ofsted rating of Outstanding. Committed to providing an exceptional learning experience, the school fosters an environment where both students and staff thrive. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers and enhancing the educational experience for all children and occasionally covering the class when the teacher has PPA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cover PPA sessions, delivering high-quality learning experiences in line with the curriculum.
  • Support classroom teachers in planning and preparing lessons.
  • Work with small groups and individual students to boost their confidence and skills.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Ideal qualifications:

  • A degree qualification is essential.
  • Experience working as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to fostering student growth and development.
