About the school:
This high-performing Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) supports students aged 11-19 facing challenges in mainstream settings due to behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties. With two campuses, the school delivers a curriculum combining academic and vocational learning. Students benefit from a nurturing environment prioritising personal development and progression.

About the role:
HLTA will oversee the daily management of behaviour support spaces, providing structured, responsive interventions for students who require specialist or escalated support. You will work closely with pastoral, SEN, and teaching teams to deliver targeted strategies that support positive student outcomes and engagement. This is a key role within the school's safeguarding and wellbeing framework.

We're looking for a dedicated candidate to:

  • Manage a designated behaviour intervention space within the school
  • Support students with SEMH and behavioural needs
  • Deliver structured interventions and tailored learning support
  • Liaise with teaching and pastoral staff to re-engage learners
  • Uphold and model high expectations for conduct and engagement
  • Respond to and de-escalate challenging behaviours

Requirements -
The ideal candidate would have:

  • Experience supporting young people with SEMH or behavioural needs
  • HLTA status or equivalent experience
  • Behaviour management and de-escalation skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • A calm, resilient, and consistent approach
  • Enhanced Child & Adult DBS on the Update Service
