We are currently seeking a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join one of our fantastic partner schools in Merton. This is a brilliant opportunity to take on a more active role in the classroom, working closely with teachers to deliver lessons, support learners, and occasionally cover classes.
This full-time, term-time only role is ideal for someone who is passionate about education and ready to step up into a position of greater responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:

Delivering lessons to small groups or whole classes in the absence of the teacher

Supporting pupils across various year groups, including those with additional needs

Assisting with planning, preparation, and assessment under teacher guidance

Providing targeted interventions and leading booster sessions

Supporting the creation of a positive and engaging learning environment
Requirements:

HLTA qualification or equivalent experience

Proven experience working in a UK school setting

Strong classroom management and organisational skills

A proactive, flexible, and professional approach

A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
