Smart Teachers are recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Mathematics to join a high-achieving secondary school in Haringey. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within both the Mathematics and SEND departments, supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4

The Role

  • Deliver small group Maths interventions, including Entry Level and GCSE support

  • Provide targeted support for students with SEND, EAL and those requiring additional challenge

  • Lead on strategies to build student confidence, motivation and achievement in Maths

  • Work collaboratively across Mathematics and Learning Support teams

  • Support enrichment, mentoring and wider school initiatives

Person Specification

  • HLTA qualification (or willingness to complete in post)

  • Strong subject knowledge in Maths (STEM-related degree or A-level desirable)

  • Experience working with young people aged 10–18
