A high-achieving and inclusive secondary school in Hackney is seeking an inspiring Religious Education Teacher to join its successful Humanities department from September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent position suited to both ECTs and experienced practitioners.

The Role
The successful candidate will teach RE across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering a curriculum that promotes critical thinking, respect, and a broad understanding of diverse worldviews.

They will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons, assessing student progress, and contributing to the wider life of the school through form time, assemblies, and enrichment opportunities. Collaboration with colleagues across the Humanities department is central to maintaining the high standards of teaching and learning the school is known for.
Depending on experience and interest, there may also be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities.

What We’re Looking For
The school is looking for a teacher who holds UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has a strong academic background in Religious Education.

The ideal candidate will have excellent subject knowledge, a commitment to inclusive and engaging teaching, and high expectations for both student behaviour and achievement. They will be a reflective practitioner, enthusiastic about supporting young people to become thoughtful and informed global citizens.
