Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs? A well-respected SEN secondary school in Greenwich is seeking a committed and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team.



About the Role:

You will be working with students aged 11-16 with a range of complex needs, including autism, moderate to severe learning difficulties, and physical disabilities. Many of the students require support with personal care tasks, so experience in this area is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN in both classroom and 1:1 settings

  • Assist with personal care routines including toileting, feeding, and mobility support

  • Support students with communication and social interaction

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff

  • Help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment



The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience working in an SEN setting (preferably with secondary-aged pupils)

  • Comfortable and competent with providing personal care

  • A patient, empathetic and resilient approach

  • A clear Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)
