Are you a dedicated and experienced Secondary Teaching Assistant passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people? We are looking for a proactive, skilled TA to join our supportive team and work across key stages to support students with SEND, behavioural needs, and academic progress.
About the Role:
This is a dynamic and rewarding role where you'll work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to:
Support students with special educational needs in mainstream classrooms and small-group settings
Deliver targeted interventions aimed at raising attainment in core subjects
Provide behaviour support for pupils with SEMH or challenging behaviour, promoting positive engagement
Foster a calm, inclusive, and structured environment where all learners can thrive
Support teachers with lesson preparation, classroom management, and student progress tracking
What We're Looking For:
We're seeking a Teaching Assistant who:
Has previous experience in a secondary school setting, ideally with a focus on SEND, SEMH, or attainment support
Is confident supporting students with EHCPs, learning difficulties, or behavioural challenges
Has a proven ability to build positive relationships with young people and motivate them to achieve
Demonstrates excellent communication, teamwork, and organisation skills
Holds relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, or equivalent)
Has a calm, compassionate and consistent approach to behaviour management
