Global Security Operating Centre Manager (GSOC)

Global Security Operating Centre Manager (GSOC) - Canary Wharf / East London / Hybrid circa 90,000 DOE plus bonus, great benefits, discretionary bonus etc.

Global client (18Billion) has a great opportunity for a Global Security Operating Centre Coordination (SOC) Manager to be responsible for the successful implementation, running and development of a predominately outsourced Security Operations Centre (SOC) across the Groups organisation with a view to global management .

The ideal candidate for this role will have a 80/20 mix of SOC management / Service Delivery experience

As a SOC Manager you will be able to demonstrate a knowledge of the current cyber threats and security measures available, this requires a combination of strong business awareness and good technical IT knowledge or experience. You will have at least 5 years of IT experience with significant exposure to IT Security and Service Delivery aspects, be skilled in conceptualizing creative solutions, as well as documenting and presenting them to SMT, have the ability to lead and motivate staff to apply skills and techniques to solve dynamic problems, have in-depth knowledge of risk assessment methods and technologies including an awareness of the importance the appropriate risk tolerance levels (knowledge of the ISF IRAM2 methodology is beneficial), have experience in developing, documenting and maintaining policies, processes, procedures and standards and have knowledge of and experience in developing and documenting security architecture and plans, including strategic, tactical and project plans. You will also have experience with information security management frameworks, such as ISO2700, ITIL, COBIT or NIST, (knowledge of the ISF Standard of Good Practice would be an advantage) and have an understanding of Service Delivery frameworks such as ITIL.

You will prepare regular reports to Program Office and Business stakeholders on performance and development of the SOC, calling out areas of concern as well as opportunities, approve managed security services provider (MSSP) invoices and cost distribution, develop SOC by using your security knowledge, evaluate priority and business case for SOC enhancements, maintain and oversee a prioritised program of approved changes and enhancements and manage the SOC budget and reports on any variance. You will form strong working relationships Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) contacts, hold regular review sessions with the MSSP providing the SOC functionality to analyse value delivered, adherence to SLAs and suggested enhancements
