Our client, a premier provider of security services, is looking for a Security Manager to lead their talented team in Ealing, London. About the Role:As the Security Manager, you will be at the forefront of ensuring that all security operations run smoothly at our Corporate Head Office complex. You'll manage a diverse team of Security Team Leaders, Officers, Controllers, and Reception Staff, overseeing service delivery and contract management to meet and exceed our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop, and manage security personnel to ensure compliance with training objectives and SIA licencing requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Security to maintain SLA standards and local security instructions.
  • Manage staffing resources within budget, ensuring optimal site coverage at all times.
  • Proactively address staff absences and conduct return-to-work interviews, ensuring policies are adhered to.
  • Oversee uniform and equipment distribution, ensuring all staff maintain high presentation standards.
  • Conduct SLA scoring, contract administration, and quality assurance monitoring of outsourced services.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for Democratic Services and the Property Services Event team, ensuring effective security planning for events.
  • Complete H&S risk assessments and manage incident reporting systems.
  • Foster strong internal networks with stakeholders to ensure timely communication on security matters.
  • Respond to security-related emergencies and provide on-call cover one week in three.

Location: Ealing, West London

Hourly rate £26.04 PAYE / £34.59 UMB Per Hour

Contract Length: 3-month contract (possibility of extension)

Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 35 hours

Person Specification:

  • Experience managing security staff in a busy public-facing environment.
  • Experience with 3rd party contract supply management.
  • Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Explorer).
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to undertake dynamic risk assessments and incident response.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience leading security team responses to incidents and emergencies.
  • Ability to resolve customer complaints with a flexible, solution-driven approach.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and initiative.
  • Knowledge of current Health and Safety legislation and practices.
  • Understanding of Data Protection Act.

Qualifications:

  • SIA Door Supervisor Licence
  • SIA Public Space Surveillance License
  • HSE First Aid (training can be provided)
  • Maybo Conflict Resolution Training (training can be provided)
  • Level 4 award in Supervisory Management (training can be supported)
